He assisted two goals, including the game-winner in Thursday’s 5-1 victory over Saint John’s. He then added the game winner in Friday’s victory over Gustavus Adolphus.
Black is the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after another impressive weekend in goal. In a battle between a pair of nationally-ranked teams, Black led the Green Knights over No. 7 Augsburg in back-to-back contests. Black opened with 24 saves in Friday’s 3-1 win over the Auggies. He then followed that with 37 stops in Saturday’s 4-0 victory. The save total marked the most-ever in a shutout for Black, coming in the 10th shutout of his career, and helping St. Norbert to an unbeaten 11-0-1 record at semester break.
