ADRIAN, Mich. — The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has announced its men's hockey 3 Stars of the Week for games played November 11-15.
Braydon Beahm, F, Fr., St. Norbert
Beahm, a freshman forward from Waupun, Wis., provided instant offense for the Green Knights in their sweep over Marian, tallying 3 points (2G, 1A). In Friday's 5-1 win, Beahm scored a power-play goal late in the 3rd period. He followed up on Saturday by scoring the second goal of the game and adding an assist on the opening goal just 2 minutes earlier, helping St. Norbert defeat Marian 6-2.
Logan Dombrowsky, F, Jr., St. Norbert
Dombrowsky, a junior forward from Stevens Point, Wis., anchored the Green Knights' offense, recording 4 points (2G, 2A) as St. Norbert swept Marian. He was consistent throughout the weekend, recording 2 points in each game. On Friday, he scored a goal in the 3rd period and assisted on a power-play goal in the 5-1 win. On Saturday, he scored the opening goal and assisted on the second goal in the 6-2 victory, helping St. Norbert maintain its perfect conference record.
Matt O'Donnell, GK, Jr., Aurora
O'Donnell, a junior goaltender from Waterbury, Conn., was instrumental in backstopping the undefeated Spartans to a pivotal sweep over rival No. 2 Adrian. He stopped 61-of-65 shots across two contests for a combined save percentage of .938. After making 33 saves in Friday's 6-4 victory, O'Donnell put up a wall on Saturday, turning aside all 28 shots he faced to earn the shutout in a 1-0 overtime victory that sealed the series sweep in a matchup of top-5 teams.
