USCHO Men's Poll: Aurora climbs to No. 2 nationally

NCHA features Spartans, Green Knights, Bulldogs in top-4

The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) delivered a shake up in the latest USCHO Men's Poll, released on November 17, following a major conference rivalry weekend. Aurora swept Adrian to jump two spots and St. Norbert climbed into the third position

Aurora leads the NCHA, moving up one spot to No. 2 nationally. The Spartans (6-0-0) earned 261 points, securing a first-place vote and extending their perfect record by sweeping former No. 2 Adrian. Aurora defeated the Bulldogs 6-4 on Friday night before closing the series with a crucial 1-0 overtime victory on Saturday. This dominant performance established them as the highest-ranked NCHA team in the country.

St. Norbert continued its strong start to the season, climbing one spot to No. 3 nationally. The Green Knights (6-1-0) collected 242 points after a flawless week. They first secured a strong non-conference win, defeating perennial rival UW-Stevens Point, 4-2, on Tuesday, before sweeping Marian in conference action with a 5-1 victory on Friday and a 6-2 win on Saturday. St. Norbert's is one of three remaining undefeated teams in NCHA play.

Adrian saw the biggest change, dropping two spots to No. 4 nationally. The Bulldogs (4-2-0) earned 229 points following their difficult weekend sweep at the hands of Aurora. The two losses, Adrian's first of the season, knocked them down a few spots.

Trine held steady just outside the top 10, remaining at No. 11 nationally with 99 points. The Thunder (5-1-0) secured a conference sweep over Dubuque, winning 5-1 on Friday and a commanding 4-0 shutout on Saturday. These results helped them maintain their position right on the cusp of the top-10.

The NCHA's depth remains unmatched, with three teams residing in the top-4 and four teams in the top-11.
