USCHO Men's Poll: Adrian climbs to No. 3 as St. Norbert slides to No. 5

Bulldogs leap into the top-3, while Trine vaults back into the Top 10; Aurora remains locked in at No. 2

The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) experienced significant shifts in the latest USCHO Division III Men's Poll, released on December 1. While the league maintained strong national representation, holding three spots in the top 10, the weekend’s wins and losses resulted in notable movement among the league's top contenders.

Aurora remains dominant, holding steady at No. 2 nationally. The Spartans (7-1-0) secured 279 points, maintaining their position from the previous week. Aurora held firm in the USCHO poll despite being idle this past week.

Adrian climbed one spot to No. 3 nationally. The Bulldogs (6-2-0) earned 241 points and was idle this past weekend. It's their highest ranking this season.

St. Norbert saw the biggest change among the NCHA ranked teams, sliding two spots to No. 5 nationally. The Green Knights (8-3-0) earned 217 points, dropping out of the top three after splitting a difficult home-and-home non-conference series with UW-Eau Claire. The Green Knights secured a commanding 6-1 victory on Friday but suffered a 4-2 road loss on Saturday, proving costly in the national polling landscape.

Trine made a noticeable jump back into the top 10, rising two spots to No. 10 nationally with 102 points. The Thunder (5-2-1) were idle this past week.

MSOE continues to garner national recognition by receiving votes in the latest poll. The Raiders secured nine votes and are now 7-2-1 overall. They followed up their strong showing against Trine last week by taking care of non-conference business this week, securing a solid 6-4 home victory against Saint Mary's on Tuesday.

The NCHA continues to demonstrate its status as one of the most competitive conferences in Division III men's hockey, boasting three teams in the top five, four in the top 10, and a key contender receiving votes, all heading toward the December break.
