The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has announced its women's hockey 3 Stars of the Week for the period of January 27-31, 2026.
Abby Hansberger, F, Fr., Concordia Wisconsin
Hansberger continued her sensational rookie campaign, leading the Falcons to a 3-0 week and helping the team maintain its 19-game winning streak. The Elk River, Minn., native recorded 5 points (2G, 3A) across three games. Her week was highlighted by scoring the game-winning power-play goal in a tight 2-1 non-conference victory over Lake Forest on Tuesday. She followed that up with a two-point performance (1G, 1A) against Lawrence on Friday and added two more assists in Saturday's shutout win.
Gracia Muñoz, F, Fr., Lake Forest
Muñoz was the offensive catalyst for the Foresters, playing a direct role in several goals during their weekend sweep of Dubuque. The Cottage Grove, Minn., native tallied three goals and one assist for a 4-point week. Muñoz scored the lone goal for the Foresters in a midweek non-conference battle against Concordia Wisconsin. She then took over the series against the Spartans. On Friday, she netted the game-winning goal in the 3rd period, and on Saturday, she opened the scoring before providing an assist on the eventual game-winner.
Kiera Stack, GK, So., Adrian
Stack was a force in the crease for the Bulldogs, securing a pair of victories over rival St. Norbert to keep Adrian unbeaten in NCHA play. The Marshfield, Mass., native stopped 54-of-56 shots faced over the weekend for a .964 save percentage. On Friday, Stack turned aside 20 shots in a narrow 2-1 win. She saved her best for Saturday's finale, making 34 saves—including 13 in the final frame—to stifle the Green Knight offense and preserve the weekend sweep.
