AHCA announces 2025-26 women's hockey All-Americans

NCHA represented by five players from Adrian, Concordia Wisconsin

GLOUCESTER, Mass. — Five student-athletes from the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) have been named to the 2025-26 CCM/AHCA NCAA Division III Women’s Hockey All-American Teams, as announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA).

Representing the NCHA are three players from Adrian (Paige Pomerleau, Riley Johnson, and Kiera Stack) and two from Concordia Wisconsin (Abby Hansberger and Mackaylan McGown). The AHCA All-American teams recognize the top 30 players in NCAA Division III women’s hockey, as selected by the nation’s head coaches.

Adrian placed three student-athletes on the West Region teams, led by first-team selections Paige Pomerleau and Riley Johnson. Pomerleau, a junior defenseman, turned in one of the most productive seasons by a blue-liner in Division III, recording 43 points on 23 goals and 20 assists. She added six game-winning goals and finished with a team-best +50 rating, while her offensive totals ranked among the nation’s best for defensemen. Johnson, a senior forward, earned First Team honors after leading the Bulldogs with 54 points on 23 goals and 31 assists. She ranked among the national leaders in scoring while contributing in all situations, including power play and shorthanded goals, and posted a +45 plus-minus rating. Johnson’s selection marks her second career AHCA All-American honor, further solidifying her status among the top players in program history. In goal, sophomore Kiera Stack was named to the Second Team after a standout first season as Adrian’s starting goalkeeper. Stack posted a 21-6-0 record with a 1.30 goals-against average and a .945 save percentage, while her eight shutouts ranked among the national leaders. Both Pomerleau and Stack earned their first career All-American honors.

Concordia Wisconsin had its first two players recognized on the national stage in program history, with Abby Hansberger and Mackaylan McGown earning Second Team West honors. Hansberger, a freshman  forward, made an immediate impact in her debut season, emerging as one of the top offensive contributors for the Falcons and earning All-American recognition in her first collegiate campaign. She posted a team-high 46 points and 27 assists, along with 19 goals and a +36 rating. McGown, a junior forward, added to her decorated career with her first AHCA All-America selection after another strong offensive season. She tallied a team-high 20 goals, to go along with 37 points, 17 assists, and a +34 rating.

The five All-American selections highlight the continued strength of the NCHA, which placed multiple players among the nation’s top performers during the 2025-26 season. With representation from both Adrian and Concordia Wisconsin, the conference continues to establish itself as one of the premier leagues in NCAA Division III women’s hockey.
