ADRIAN, Mich. — The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) has announced its women's hockey 3 Stars of the Week for games played January 9-10.

Eva Kingston, GK, Jr., Concordia Wisconsin
Kingston was perfect in the crease, backstopping the Falcons during Saturday's shutout victory. The Brooks, Alberta, native turned away all 18 shots she faced in the victory to earn her first career win. She posted four saves in the opening period, followed by eight in the second frame and registered six in the final period.

Mackaylan McGown, F, Sr., Concordia Wisconsin
McGown put on an offensive clinic, tallying three points (2G, 3A) to lead the Falcons to a dominant weekend sweep of Beloit. The Inver Grove Heights, Minn., native was a factor in many scoring plays during Saturday’s 9-0 victory, netting two goals—including a shorthanded tally—and adding two assists. She also earned a primary assist on the game-winning goal in Friday’s 2-0 shutout, finishing the weekend with a hand in five of the Falcons' 11 total goals.

Ella Spies, D, Jr., Marian
Spies provided a massive spark from the blue line, recording three points (1G, 2A) as the Sabres split a hard-fought series with MSOE. The Fond du Lac, Wis., native was instrumental in Saturday’s dramatic 5-4 overtime comeback victory; she scored the game-tying, empty net goal with just 90 seconds remaining in regulation to force the extra frame. Spies also added three assists over the two games, including two primary helpers on power-play goals.
